As an international family of social justice organisations, CIDSE rejoices in the official nomination of H.E. Cardinal Michael Czerny as Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development of the Vatican.
We have been working closely with the Dicastery for the past five years and we will continue to support this important work of the Church for Integral ecology, justice, human dignity, and peace.
We have admired the humble work of Cardinal Czerny, walking with communities most easily forgotten, and defending the teachings of love and solidarity.
We are also very grateful for the service and commitment of Sister Alessandra Smerilli, and her support and collaboration to us all during the interim period.
We offer our heartfelt partnership and congratulations in this confirmed mission going forward.
Finally, we wish the very best to Father Baggio, whose work and openness to social justice actors has been a true inspiration.
